Moving abroad can be challenging and stressful for newcomers.
Adjusting to a new culture, language, and environment can be especially challenging for immigrants and refugees with in/visible disabilities.
To help settlement workers cater to immigrants and refugees with in/visible disabilities, the Ontario Council Of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) is organizing a ½ day training session.
Once the training is done, you will be able to:
-
Explain the different social and cultural understanding of disability in different parts of the world
-
Identify good/best practices to support the inclusion of immigrants and refugees with in/visible disabilities
Date: Thursday, November 15th, 2018
Time: 9:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m
Location: Catholic Crosscultural Services, 8 Nelson St., W. Suite 206, Brampton
