Emergency Response Informal Interpreter Training at Access Alliance

Access Alliance is offering a FREE informal interpreter training to meet an emergency need for Arabic and Kurdish interpretation. Untrained bilingual individuals are volunteering their time as ad-hoc interpreters to support communication between the newly-arrived refugees from Syria and care providers in various non-profit community organisations. This training will provide guidelines for effective and responsible interpretation, and give participants the first step towards becoming an Accredited Community Interpreter if they are interested in pursuing this.
