Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government of Canada has issued several guidelines that need to be followed when you fly to Canada. These measures were put in place in order to slow the spread of Covid-19 in Canada.
What are the requirements for the arrival to Canada?
As of November 21, 2020, if you're flying to Canada as your final destination, you must use ArriveCAN to submit your:
- travel and contact information
- quarantine plan
- COVID-19 symptom self-assessments
You must use ArriveCAN before you board your flight to Canada. You can choose to use the ArriveCAN app or sign into ArriveCAN online.
Once you submit your information through ArriveCAN:

Effective December 15, 2021: the government of Canada recommends avoiding non-essential travel outside Canada, regardless of your vaccination status.
Since September 7, all foreign nationals who qualify for the fully vaccinated traveller exemption are allowed to enter Canada for discretionary travel.
