Settlement Team Information Session For Prospective Volunteers

Rainbow Railroad is looking for volunteers to support LGBTQI+ refugees during their first year in Canada.

Rainbow Railroad matches each refugee with a group of volunteers (settlement team) that assist them in their daily errands and help them raise fund during their first in the Great North.

During that information session, prospective volunteers will be able to connect with experienced settlement team members and the Refugee Rainbow Railroad team.

Rainbow Railroad information night to help LGBTQI refugees from East Africa

The increase of violence against LGBTQI people in Uganda has led to a number of people fleeing to neighboring countries.

There are around hundreds of people in refugee camps who identify as LGBTQI to date.

Many of them are regularly harassed and at times attacked by fellow refugees because of their sexual orientation.

To help those refugees who are in grave danger, the Rainbow Railroad is organizing an information night.
