The Refugee Hub is organizing a roundtable around refugee sponsorship. 

The recent publication of Refuge: Canada’s Journal on Refugees will be the focus of this roundtable.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the lessons learned and the ways forward for the private sponsorship of refugees.

How do refugees interpret, create and pursue solutions to their plight? 

This is an aspect that the book Refugees’ Roles In Resolving Displacement And Building Peace explores. 

The book speaks both to academic debates and to the and human rights scholars who are concerned with the nature and dynamics of agency in contentious political contexts. 

The Refugee Hub & LERRN are organizing the book launch along with a panel of discussion. 

Co-hosted by University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Université Saint Paul, Université du Québec en Outanouais, The Refugee Hub, and Human Rights Research and Education, Humanizing Migration is a bilingual forum that aims to humanize public debate around migration in Canada.
