Extension of Syria Emergency Relief Fund Deadline

Canada has announced that the timeline for individual charitable donations to be counted toward the government’s Syria Emergency Relief Fund will be extended until February 29, 2016.

For every eligible dollar donated by individual Canadians to registered Canadian charities in response to the conflict in Syria, the government will continue to set aside one dollar—up to a total of $100 million—to the Fund.

Finding a health care provider is an important first step for many newly arrived refugees in Ontario.
The Refugee HealthLine -- 1-866-286-4770 will play a key role in connecting refugees with various health service providers for transitional care in the short-term, and will be developing and maintaining a registry of providers able to provide care for refugees.
