Roundtable: Responding to Gender-Based Violence among (im)migrants: the Role of Digital Technology

On behalf of Neighbours, Friends and Families (IRCNFF), OCASI, in collaboration with Factor Inwentash School Of Social Work University of Toronto, invites you to the roundtable titled "Responding to Gender-Based Violence among (im)migrants: the Role of Digital Technology."

Technology plays a role in gender-based violence prevention and response initiatives; at the same time, technology presents risks for further forms of harm and GBV. In this roundtable, speakers will briefly discuss the current scholarly knowledge on the role of digital technology in facilitating and/or responding to GBV among (im)migrants, followed by responses from community-based service providers and the audience.

We invite an open dialogue about how we may better leverage digital spaces and tools to support anti-GBV efforts led by service providers and (im)migrant communities.
