OCASI - The Accessibility Initiative (AI) cordially invites you to participate in the upcoming webinar: Supporting Newcomer Children with Disabilities: Listening to Stories of Displacement and Disablement

  • The needs, issues, and challenges of im/migrant children/youths/families that are not well understood or incorporated in service design and delivery
  • Examples of how disabilities intersect with newcomer population;
  • How to listen to clients' narratives regarding disability, and make appropriate referrals
  • Resources

Facilitator: 

Dr. Sukaina Dada:  Paediatric occupational therapist and executive director of SMILE Canada - Support Services, a Canadian charity supporting newcomer children and youth with disabilities and their families. Dr. Dada has been working in the area of paediatric disability for over 15 years.

The webinar will include a question-and-answer period with the speaker
