Webinar: Human Rights and the Duty to Accommodate People with Disabilities
OCASI's Accessibility Initiative invites you to participate in the upcoming webinar event: Human Rights and the Duty to Accommodate People with Disabilities in the Workplace.
Under the Duty to Accommodate, employers and service providers are required to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities to ensure equal opportunities, equal access, and can enjoy similar benefits. Services must be designed inclusively and adapted to accommodate people with disabilities in a way that promotes integration and full participation.
Webinar outcomes for participants:
- Understand how human rights laws apply to protect the rights of people with disabilities
- Recognize and understand principles of accommodation
- Examine forms of accommodation and provide examples of accommodation
- Awareness of the duties and responsibilities of people involved in the accommodation process

Andrew Robb: managing lawyer of the Disability Law Clinic at Disability Alliance BC. The Disability Law Clinic is BC's first community legal clinic that focuses on disability rights law.
