About the webinar
This Professional Development Webinar is intended for Settlement Front-Line Staff.
This session will equip settlement workers with additional tools to better support clients who arrived as sponsored refugees and to collaborate effectively with the clients’ sponsors to ensure a smooth settlement experience.
The session will cover the following topics:
key elements of the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) and Blended Visa Office-Referred (BVOR) programs,
IRCC's expectations for sponsored refugees to access government-funded settlement services,
the complementary roles of sponsors and settlement professionals in providing settlement support,
description of the Settlement Support Connection project,
best practices for collaboration with sponsors.
