Refugee Talent Professional Networking Event - Mentor Registration
Jumpstart Refugee Talent in collaboration with York University’s Internationally Educated Professionals bridging program is hosting A Refugee Speed Mentoring Professional Networking Event
About the event
Contribute two hours of your time to participate as a mentor to one or two of over 65 newcomers to Canada who will attend this event. The event is hosted by Jumpstart Refugee Talent and York University’s IEP bridging program and designed to bring together professionals in Toronto to help newcomers who have been refugees practice their networking skills and make new connections. The event organizers are looking for people with backgrounds in IT, business, financial services, and marketing.
If you are selected to participate, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in brief, focused face-to-face conversations with refugees who are aspiring to professional careers by building their networking muscle. And, you will be given precise location information at York via email from the organizers closer to the event date.
This is a great chance to give back to the community by sharing your time and experience with a group that is systemically overlooked by corporate Canada. Your participation can make a meaningful difference in helping these newcomers improve their networking ability.
The event will take place at York University Keele Campus. Space is limited, so register as early as possible to show your interest.
