CCR Virtual Meeting: Responding to pause on refugee sponsorship applications

The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) is hosting a virtual meeting to discuss the recent changes announced by the federal government regarding Group of Five (G5) and Community Sponsorship applications.

The federal government has announced a pause on new applications for these sponsorships until January 2026, which may affect individuals and groups involved in refugee sponsorship.

The meeting is open to CCR members and anyone involved in or interested in refugee sponsorships. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the impact of the decision and explore ways to respond.
