The OCASI Mental Health Promotion Project (MHP) in partnership with Hong Fook Mental Health Association is pleased to invite you to: Staying Afloat in Turbulent Times: Self-Care for Frontline Settlement Workers

About this Workshop

Learn and practice a three part process* to help support you working with heavy workloads, clients with significant needs, uncertain funding, and other stresses. You matter. Give yourself with the care and compassion that you already offer to your clients.

In this interactive training, we'll walk you through:

  • compassionately acknowledging how you are affected at work,
  • grounding in what you need so you're empowered to take action for more well-being.

*This training is based on  the Compassionate Communication process which is practiced in over 72 countries in a variety of settings including social service, workplace, activism, family, education, mediation, prison, and government.

Key Objectives:

  • Acknowledge compassionately how you are affected by stresses at work,
  • Free up energy stuck in the most common obstacle to empowerment,
  • Be able to tap into inner and outer resources for self-care.
