Webinar: Overview of Accessible Canada Act
OCASI / Accessibility Initiative invites you to the upcoming webinar: Overview of Accessible Canada Act
The webinar is presented by ARCH Disability Law Centre, a specialty legal clinic that practices exclusively in disability rights law in Ontario. ARCH provides legal services to Ontarians with disabilities in various areas of law, including accessibility laws. In addition to providing direct legal services, ARCH engages in law reform activities, such as analyzing and commenting on the impact of current and proposed laws and practices from a disability perspective.
Join ARCH Disability Law Centre in a webinar featuring a discussion of the Accessible Canada Act, its regulations, and standards. As an introduction to this Act, ARCH will provide an overview of the Act and its regulations. It will also explore its purpose and application for Canadians with disabilities, and the obligations for federally regulated organizations since its enactment. You will also learn how the Act can be enforced, as well as the complaint process if a violation of the Act occurs.
The webinar will be presented by Lila Refaie, bilingual Intake Lawyer and Student Programs Lead at ARCH, providing legal services in both English and French.
