OCASI / The Positive Spaces Initiative invites you to participate in the upcoming webinar: Person, Purpose, and Persecution

A webinar on building community by, for, and with Trans and Non-binary refugees, im/migrants, and newcomers.

Speakers:

• Tatiana Ferguson (she/her), Co-founder of Black Queer Youth Collective and EDI specialist.
• Sizwe Inkingi (she/her), Program Officer, Rainbow Railroad and former Bilingual PSI Coordinator, OCASI-PSI.

Tatiana will first review data from Trans PULSE Canada Report to share insights about Trans and Non-binary newcomers to Canada. The second part will be a candid discussion about resettlement and finding & building community by, for, and with Trans and Non-binary refugees, im/migrants, and newcomers. Tatiana and Sizwe will talk about identity, programs and supports, and why we need more Trans-led newcomer spaces.

There will be a Q&A period at the end of their presentation.
